Ingredients (for the dough):

- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- Ingredients (for the filling):
- 2 cups European organic cheese, crumbled
- 1 tablespoon nigella seeds (optional)
- Instructions:
- Mix the flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
- In a separate bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water and let it sit for a few minutes until it becomes frothy.
- Combine the flour mixture with the yeast mixture to form a dough. Knead until smooth.
- Cover the dough and let it rise for about an hour.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Divide the dough into small balls and roll each into a circle.
- Place a spoonful of European organic cheese in the center of each circle, sprinkle with nigella seeds if using, and fold the edges to form a triangle.
- Bake the fatayer in the preheated oven until golden brown.
- Serve warm.
