Cheese Fatayer with European organic cheese

Ingredients (for the dough):

    • 3 cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 tablespoon sugar
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 tablespoon yeast
    • 1 cup warm water
  • Ingredients (for the filling):
    • 2 cups European organic cheese, crumbled
    • 1 tablespoon nigella seeds (optional)
  • Instructions:
    1. Mix the flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl.
    2. In a separate bowl, dissolve the yeast in warm water and let it sit for a few minutes until it becomes frothy.
    3. Combine the flour mixture with the yeast mixture to form a dough. Knead until smooth.
    4. Cover the dough and let it rise for about an hour.
    5. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
    6. Divide the dough into small balls and roll each into a circle.
    7. Place a spoonful of European organic cheese in the center of each circle, sprinkle with nigella seeds if using, and fold the edges to form a triangle.
    8. Bake the fatayer in the preheated oven until golden brown.
    9. Serve warm.
